WPC (Wood Plastic Composite)
A rigid-core LVP construction with a foamed wood-and-plastic composite core for a softer feel underfoot.
WPC is the second of the two rigid-core LVP families (alongside SPC). The core is a foamed wood-and-plastic composite, which produces a softer, warmer plank that's more comfortable underfoot than SPC. WPC is typically thicker than SPC for the same wear layer.
WPC is the right choice for residential installs where comfort matters most — bedrooms, living rooms, basements with cool slabs. It's slightly less dimensionally stable than SPC, which makes it less ideal for sunrooms or installs over poorly leveled subfloors.
Both SPC and WPC are fully waterproof and dimensionally stable enough for full-house installs. Most jobs come down to product availability and price more than core construction.
